Carmen Electra as she is professionally known was born on the 20th of April, 1972. Her actual name was Tara Leigh Patrick. She is a well known actress, singer and American glamour model.

Tara was born in the city of Sharonville, Ohio. Her father Harry Patrick was an entertainer and guitarist and her mother Patricia was a vocalist. Carmen Electra’s mother died of brain tumor in the year 1988. Debbie, Carmen Electra’s older sister died of heart attack. Carmen Electra’s school was carried out at School for Creative and Performing Arts, in Cincinnati. Her high schooling was at Princeton High School, Sharonville.

She met singer Prince when she moved to California. It was he who persuaded Tara to change her name to Carmen Electra. From then she became famous professionally by that name. After this she signed a contract with Prince’s Company. This way she made a start of her career that included one album.

The year 1995, saw Carmen Electra performing in various Television programs. Carmen Electra was featured in famous TV shows like Baywatch and MTV’s Singled Out. This was after Carmen Electra being featured in a nude pictorial of the May, 1996 issue of the Playboy magazine.

Carmen Electra also acted in various films, the famous being Good Burger in the year 1997, Scary Movie in the year 2000 and also the Scary Movie – 4 in the year 2006.

After this, in the year 1999, Carmen Electra featured in a music video named ‘The Inevitable Return of the Whit Dope’. Carmen Electra was also made playable character in a number of video games like Def Jam: Fight for New York, ESPN NFL 2K5 etc.

Carmen Electra joined the voice cast of Tripping the Rift- an animated series, in the year 2005. Carmen Electra replaced Gina Gershon in that series. Later Taco Bell started featuring Carmen Electra in various commercials also.

Ritz Camera Centers made Carmen Electra the spokes model. Carmen Electra currently appears in television and print ads along with David Ritz, the CEO of Ritz Camera Centers. A video spoof of the Epic Movie namely Lonelygirl15 features Carmen Electra.

Carmen Electra got married to basket ball star Dennis Rodman. After this, she continued to have a brief affair with Pamela Anderson’s ex-husband Tommy Lee.

In the year 2003, Carmen Electra married Dave Navarro. He was known to be a lead guitarist for the Rock band Jane’s Addiction. This relationship was also documented by the couple in a Celebrity show hosted by MTV. The show was named as “Till Death do us part: Carmen & Dave”. Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro announced their separation in the year 2006. Carmen Electra filed for a divorce on 10th August, 2006 which was later finalized on 20th February, 2007. This was confirmed by her representative to the Star Magazine.

Later in the year 2007, Carmen Electra was linked to Joan Jett whom she claimed to be her childhood crush. But this fact was denied by the spokeswoman of Carmen Electra saying that they were just friends.
