Daniel Jacob Radcliffe plays Harry Potter in all of the movies based on the popular book series by the same name, and will continue to do so in the remaining sequels. He also acts on television and on stage.
Daniel Radcliffe was born on July 28th, 1989 in Fulham, London, England. His father is a protestant form Northern Ireland, and his mother is Jewish. Although Radcliffe is not religious, he is proud to be a Jew. He expressed an interest in acting at an early age. He was already considered a seasoned actor when he was asked to audition for the lead role of the big budget adaption of J. K. Rowling’s books in 2000. After several callbacks, he landed the role.
Radcliffe was only 16 years old when he became the youngest ever non-royal to have an individual portrait in the National Portrait Gallery. Currently, he is the 33rd richest young person in all of Great Britain. Converted to U.S. dollars, he earned $500,000 for the first Harry Potter movie, about $11 million for the fourth and over 16 million or the 5th. His personal wealth is estimated to be around $34 million so far. Daniel Radcliffe will receive about $50 million for the last two installments.
Rupert Grint - Ron Weasley
Rupert Grint was born Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint on August 24, 1988 in Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire, U.K. He is the oldest of five siblings, one brother and three sisters. His father is retired race car driver turned memorabilia dealer. Rupert’s mother is a homemaker. He hasn’t done much acting professionally before joining the Harry Potter cast of actors. He had been in some school plays. Interestingly enough, the director of “Prisoner Of Azkaban” reportedly said that out of the three main actors, he saw Rupert Grint as the having the best chance in becoming the most successful after the Harry Potter movies had their run.
Rupert Grint was said to have bought an ice cream truck with his earnings from the movies.
Emma Watson - Hermione Granger
Emma Watson was born Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson on 15 April, 1990 in Paris, France to British parents who are now divorced. As with Rupert, she hadn’t done much acting when she was selected from thousands of applicants to be part of the Harry Potter cast at the age of nine. With the fifth movie done, she is said to have about 20 million from the movies so far. She was also ranked 98th on FHM Magazine’s Sexiest Women In The World. Emma Watson is the eldest of seven siblings total, only one full brother, though.
Emma Watson says that stardom hasn’t been effecting her much, but nosy tourists and Internet impersonators can really piss her off sometimes. Even though she is a millionaire, the Harry Potter cast member said that she didn’t want to quit school to become a full-time actress, because learning keeps her motivated.
There were rumors that Emma Watson wanted to skip out on the last two movies, but her involvement was confirmed by Warner Brothers.
