It starts with
One thing, I dont know why
It doesnt even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To explain the due time
All I know
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down till the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
Its so unreal
You didnt look out below,
Watch the time go right out the window
Tryn to hold on
Didnt even know, I wasted it all
Just to watch you go
I kept everything inside
And even though I tried
It all fell apart
What its meant to be
Will, eventually be,
A memory of a time,
When I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesnt even matter…
I had to fall, to loose it all…
But in the end, it doesnt even matter…

One thing, I dont know why
It doesnt even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To remind myself
How I tried so hard…
Dispite the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
Im surprised it got so far
Things arent the way they were before
You wouldnt even recognize me anymore
Now that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me
In the end…

You kept everything inside
And even though I tried it all fell apart
What it meant to be, will
Eventually, be a memory of a time
When I tried so hard,
And got so far,
But in the end, it doesnt even matter
I had to fall, to loose it all
But in the end, it doesnt even matter

Ive put my trust in you
Pushed as far, as I can go
For all this
Theres only one thing you should know

Ive put my trust, in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
Theres only one thing you should know…
I tried so hard,
And got so far,
But in the end, it doesnt even matter
I had to fall, to loose it all,
But in the end, it doesnt even matter

Linkin Park - What I’ve Done Lyrics

In this farewell
There’s no blood
There’s no alibi
Cause I’ve drawn regret
From the truth
Of a thousand lies

So let mercy come
And wash away

What I’ve done
I’ll face myself
To cross out what I’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what I’ve done

Put to rest
What you thought of me
While I’ve clean this slate
With the hands
Of uncertainty

So let mercy come
And wash away

What I’ve done
I’ll face myself
To cross out what I’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what I’ve done

For what I’ve done

I start again
And whatever pain may come
Today this ends
I’m forgiving what I’ve done

I’ll face myself
To cross out what I’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what I’ve done

What I’ve done

Forgiving what I’ve done

Linkin Park is an alternative rock band from Agoura Hills,CA, USA. They started out in 1996, and since then have sold more than 40 million albums and won two Grammy Awards. They gained mainstream recognition in 2000 with their first album, Hybrid Theory, which is now certified as a Diamond album by RIAA. Their next studio album is titled Meteora, continued the band’s success, going all the way to the top of the Billboard 200’s album charts in 2003. An extensive tour followed including charity work around the world.

Linkin Park is most recognized for adapting the genre called nu metal into a radio-friendly style and creating many successful singles releases including In The End, Numb, and What I’ve Done. They also heavily collaborated with other recording artists such as rapper Jay-Z in their mash-up album Collision Course, and a variety of other artists on Reanimation. The band’s most recent studio album, Minutes to Midnight, which was released in May 2007, has partially departed from their previous nu metal sound and explored various other genres. The album reached the top of the Billboard Charts by selling nearly 625 thousand CDs in its first week, which made it the best debut week of any album for the year of 2007.

The band we now know as Linkin Park started as a high school garage band consisting of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon. The original name was Xero, and they were working on their music with Shinoda’s bare-bones equipment. They tried to land record deals with major record labels to no avail. Several members left. This left room for Chester Bennington to enter the scene and become Linkin Parks lead singer and key to its unique sound. They finally signed a recording contract with Warner Brothers in 1999.

Linkin Park’s first album Hybrid Theory was released in the year 2000. The album became an instant success selling almost 5 million copies in its first year and landed three Grammy nomination. The most successful hits from the album Crawling and One Step Closer. Reanimation was next in line in 2002, which sold 270,000 units in its first week. In 2003, Meteora was released that featured a new flavor to the now-trusted nu metal and rap core sound of the band. The album was very well received selling over 800,000 units in its first weeks in the stores. Between the years of 2004-2006, Linkin Park took a break. They returned to the recording studio in 2006 to work on Minutes to Midnight. It was released on 2007 and it sold 600,000 copies in its first week. The major hit from the CD is What I’ve Done.
