Jessica Simpson has to her credit seven Billboard Top 40 Hits, and also three gold and two platinum rated albums. Jessica Simpson starred in a reality show hosted by MTV along with her then husband Nick Lachey. The show was named as Newlyweds: Jessica & Nick.
Gained Fame: 1999-2001
In the year 1999, Jessica Simpson released her first album “I wanna love you forever”. This album hit the Billboard Hot 100 in the no.3 position. Very soon after this, Jessica Simpson released her second album by name “Sweet Kisses”. Jessica’s second album won the double platinum rating and made her successful for the second time successfully. Jessica Simpson was given a chance to feature in the music video of 98 degrees. It was during this time, Jessica Simpson fell in love with Nick Lachey and began to date with him. After dating with Nick for almost two years the couple cooled their relationship with each other.

At the age of 25, Jessica Simpson made her debut into films as a Daisy Duke, in a motion picture that was a remake of the dukes of Hazards. This was in the year 2005. In the opening weekend itself the film hit the box office at a #1 position. In the meantime of working in the film, Jessica Simpson also appeared in a song track of the film. That song won the People Choice Award for favorite song. The song featured Jessica Simpson cleaning her car wearing a pink bikini. Some countries even banned the videos as they show Jessica Simpson in bikini.
2006-2007: Music and Movies
In the year 2006, Nick and Jessica Simpson separated and their divorce was finalized. Simpson also hosted the Teen Choice Awards in the year 2006. She later appeared in The View in the same year.
